Tepidity
It has always seemed to me that the goal of bourgeois-liberalism was to provoke a culture of tepidity. Tepidity is considered sane; tepidity is considered desirable because it promotes the continuity of the social order. Tepidity is requisite as a compromise between arrogant individualism and the social good. Hence, one must be tepid.
