More than one in ten women say that they have been a direct victim of workplace discrimination or sexism. There still exists a pay gap. Violence against women by deified, spoiled sports stars is almost the norm. Tony Abbott, the Opposition Leader who may become our new Prime Minister, once said: “It would be folly to expect that women would ever approach equal representation in a large number of areas simply because their aptitudes, their abilities and interests are different for physiological reasons.”
