Balance

"African spiritual traditions revolve around the respect for nature and the importance of balance. When you are not living your purpose, not only are you off-balance, you can throw others off balance, your family, your community, our world. Balance begins by honoring your visions, your inner voice and your ancestors. Strive to bring all three into sharp focus every day."
- James Weeks/ Across The King's River

There is some point to this.  The question of balance.   It's not so mystical, but psychological.  We can speak of bad balance producing bad karma, but only in the psychological sense as it is extended into the realm of society and history.   There is nothing beyond this.

So I consider my visions and my ancestors.  Am I permitted visions?  Most whose lived comply with regular industry are not allowed their fantasies, never mind their own nightmares.

But some might place themselves back into history and upon a flowing river.

Here I see what my ancestors liked to do and I realize they never had much security and yet that they were not incomplete due to that.

This reassures me.
