Overly protected types attack the meaning of robust experiences

This short talk considers the author Dambudzo Marechera, his state of mind and the risks he took to get his message across. Unfortunately, society has moved on from old fashioned reslience and patching up your wounds, to a state of comfortable modernity and fashionable identity politics. Therefore the message of old-fashioned hardiness is lost -- or confused with something else that individual modern people find closer to home.
