Is there another word for not being men other than “women”? Symbolically, the absence of masculine virtues was supposed to feminize a person — that is, if we are taking our script from the Nineteenth Century. To my mind, though, attacking a woman is definitively not masculine, since no other species does that. Male creatures do not attack their female creatures. I’m of the view that one cannot be a human being if one polarizes oneself into a gender identity. Therefore those who attack women are probably suffering from a lack of humanization in the first place.
