Philosophy differs from an ideology in this way
Here is how it differs. It really is a matter of framing although it is a truth to be universally acknowledged that those who are in the thick of a violent situation DO NEED TO SITUATE THEMSELVES IN RELATION TO THE TRUTH. (I had this need myself. For the longest time, and this was my Achilles Heel.)
Looking at the matter from rather a different angle nowadays, I am so fortunate to be able to possess a sense of philosophical distancing.
