If somebody is responding to buzz terms rather than content, they are mad, but not in the individual or personal sense -- they are participating in a socially condoned communal madness. Somehow if you mention a term, like "mental patient", that is enough to set some people off. I've also had a similar problem by mentioning the name of a country that used to exist. If I mention it, people automatically think I am taking sides for or against that country. They don't even take the time to listen to what I have to say. This is the quintessential madness of modernity.
