The disease without a name

An ape afflicted by the disease without a name does what such a being must do, but without feeling. One has learned that feelings of any sort are dangerous, attracting harsh censure and aggression.

He is the mechanism for solving others' problems,  catering to their needs, but has needs of his own that one has never thought about.  It's like one is locked out of one's own home.  The lights are on, but one lacks keys or methods, or fundamental knowledge of how to get inside.

Emotions are certainly not one's natural language if one is in this state.  Such an ape has difficulty articulating them.  Reflexively, one puts others needs first and belittles one's own, for these are far from being within the range of one's experience.

This is certainly one massive affliction -- albeit without a name.   An idiot suffering from such a vile illness will earn the attribute of being "the emotional one", since everyone feels free to pour their own excretions on this hapless ape.

The ape, not understanding human language knows no better than to passively resign itself to its fate....

This ape, who suffers from a disease that has no name attempts to be more diligent and wonders what emotions he has had that have offended others.  He hears them speak of his identity, but he knows he has not actively selected one.

An ape in this condition wants to do the right thing, but his own family says he's devious and needs to be brought to order.  That was why they locked him out in the first place, to teach him discipline.

The ape is too emotionally repressed to understand that human will had anything to do with his unpleasant fate.   He thinks it's down to nature itself.   The other apes agree that he is rather stupid.  "How could anyone be locked out of one's house for so long!  That is rather stupid."

The ape sees their point.   He empathizes with their perspective.  It's rather stupid to be in the state he's in.

The apes who worship congregate to say he's failed in his moral duty.  He has let his emotions get out of control and now his hair is matted and he scratches everywhere for fleas.

Such an ape concurs that there is something very wrong with him.  To him that is a logical and clear analysis.

He doesn't feel a thing on his own behalf, still.

Others say he needs some roughening up to make him see the light.  They wait for him outside his door and pelt him with their pebbles.

The natural order of things is very strange, the ape reflects.

"Life throws hard pebbles at us, but there's nothing anyone can do about it, least of all me."

One wants to help an ape.  Does anyone know the name of this disease?

Is his solution to join the Men's Right's Movement?  Please help!

It is more likely to be an over-awareness of one's surroundings and a socially inculcated disregard for one's own self.
