It's very interesting that this fine fellow seems to propose intellectual shamanism, exactly as I propose it. He maintains that the genuine intellectual activity comes out of those who have been shipwrecked and realize the nature of their predicament, which is also the human predicament. Taking your views for granted isn't intellectual.
