historical shamanism

I see myself a historical shaman, for want of a better term, in that I engage with issues created historically and I bring to people's attentions the issues they still have with history, which are causing them to live restricted and diminished lives.

So long as they are caught up in historical recrimination and retribution, they will be unfree.  I was unfree in precisely that manner, which is why I benefited so much from Marechera.  That is why I owed such a debt of gratitude to him.
