The Perception of a Crisis | Clarissa's Blog

The Perception of a Crisis | Clarissa's Blog: "I wish this were true, and probably there is an element of truth to the confusion about a new paradigm, as this paradigm starts to take hold. We can expect the transition from nation state to something else to take abou three hundred years, so there is no rush to adjust to it.

In fact what is also true is that people do not like to be rescued by those whom they consider to have a low status. We can see that in Australia, the Gillard government’s rescue of the economy was no good enough, so we had to vote in a right wing goon. People feel their status is reduced if they are helped by women, blacks, left wingers, etc."
