Vlog CCCXVI

What is weird is the way that in a normal human context most people can talk about issues as if there were other dynamics involved in them apart from "freedom of choice", but when you try to talk about victimization, you are made to believe it is all down to freedom of choice. How outrageous would it be if I suddenly began talking about Jews queuing up at Auschwitz to get in, or victims of genocide "choosing" to remain in places where they could be executed? There are some situations where we do allow ourselves to refer to real, historical events and note down what has happened, in real terms, but as for therapeutic situations as such, we have to talk as if we are imagining things and making "choices" all the time from an omnisicent and omnipotent vantage point.
