If you were allowed to teach here, they would probably have you shadowed by strange spies all day and night. I realized the subversive control element many years ago before University, but until it payed me some attention I was pretty blind to how things may have worked in the past.

The control element is all the worse for being insidious. It is typical covert narcissism: "Tell us what is on your mind, so that we can sully it and deny it through our labels." Yuck.
