Yeah, I see an American moralist. There is much truth to what he says. (He should also slow down and take time to learn the proper pronunciation of "Boer".) But the moralistic twist he gives to history is abominable. In actual fact, people like him are predominant on the cultural left, and assuredly, his fellow moralists do follow his instruction of "policing their own", to such an extent that somebody like me is not even permitted to acknowledge that I had an African past without drawing scathing criticism and condemnation upon my head. Actually, there is nothing easier than criticizing "one's own", as they are nearby and already accessible. Nothing delights a small-minded soul more than to be able to proclaim their moral superiority to those who are near by, to put them down and so to elevate oneself relatively. It is very opportunistic. It's not ethical and not rational, but opportunists like this sort of thing, and if they can wear a moral cloak whilst putting down those closest to them, nothing feels easier or more natural. What this guy is asking for is not at all impressive.
